"BeBe”is our senior clinic cat here at Mission Veterinary Hospital. She came to us in early March 2008 after her owners found out they were moving and couldn't keep her. She can be found throughout the the clinic purring and waiting for someone to pet her. She is very loving and makes a great addition to our hospital family.

Tara is our Veterinary Nurse who graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Thompson Rivers University in May 2008. Before starting her studies in Kamloops Tara lived in the Yukon for the better part of 2 yrs. Tara has one dog named “Bodie”. He is a 6 yr old Boxer/Pit bull. Tara first met “Bodie” in 2003 when he was abandoned at an animal clinic she worked at. Initially with intentions of just fostering “Bodie” to get him out of a cramped kennel Tara grew very much attached and eventually adopted him. After dedicating a great deal of time towards training and socializing him, both Tara and “Bodie” learned a lot about the ‘dog world’. “Bodie” proved very quickly to be a loving, intelligent and amazing dog who wins the heart of everyone who gets to know him. He greets Tara everyday by trotting around with his blanket in his mouth when she returns home from work. “Bodie” is sure to put a smile on Tara’s face several times a day. Together they go for many walks, jogs and hikes. Other than at work you rarely see Tara without “Bodie”. They have been each other’s loyal constant throughout many moves and hectic times.

Alicia started as a volunteer in March of 2005 for a work experience course, she then was hired on in September of 2006 as a Veterinary Assistant. She has 4 male companions at home, 3 of which have 4 lets and 1 whom only has 3. Alicia's newest addition is a 7 month old domestic short hair tabby cat named Lukas, (or Lou Cat). He is a great addition to her already busy family. He loves to snuggle with his cat brother Dominic. Dominic is Alicia's 5 year old domestic short hair tuxedo cat. He adopted her while he was at MVH for multiple facial surgeries as he was found with his face ripped open. An instant bond betweent he two of them was created and she had to take him home. He is Alicia's 'main man' and is the best snuggle monkey ever! Also in the busy household is the bratty Beagle named Tucker. He is now 5 years old and is almost too smart for his own good. He is very much a brat but loves his brothers and mommy. Alicia's last furry animal is Chico; her 3 legged yellow lab whom is now 6 years old and lost his front right leg at 12 months of age after being hit by a car. It has not slowed him down in the least and he is still as active as a puppy. The 4 'brothers' are all best buddies and get along great! Animals have always been such an important part of Alicia's life and even told her mother she would work with animals her whole life at the age of 3. Alicia has taken a multitude of courses in the veterinary field and still plans to become a Registered Animal Health Technologist.
